Approach

When clients bring Jon complicated issues, he listens first. He believes everyone needs to be heard and understood, and every case is unique. Then, he develops and communicates strategies to resolve the issue while being honest and direct. Early in his career, he found ardent preparation was vital to successful representation, so he diligently prepares for the next steps. Finally, Jon implements the strategy and works hard but efficiently to achieve his client’s goals.

Making a Difference

While Jon is a formidable legal opponent in the courtroom, he cares deeply about helping others and has served on Hope Haven's board of directors for many years. Hope Haven is a local nonprofit that provides substance abuse treatment and recovery services for Charlotte’s homeless population. Jon advocates for the rights of the homeless and chemically dependent individuals and families. He believes they are often the most vulnerable and deserve a second chance at life. In addition, when people reunite with loved ones through recovery, it transforms lives.

More about JON

Married to his high school and college sweetheart, Emily, they have two wonderful daughters, Hannah and Sophie, and two (sometimes) wonderful Goldendoodles, Izzy and Oskar.

You might not know that Jon was a competitive gymnast for 11 years, a high school wrestler, and a collegiate cheerleader. Today, he enjoys brewing specialized Indian pale ales and spending time with his family.
