Jennifer Otis is a seasoned employment Attorney whose previous practice represented many small, family-owned businesses in a wide variety of employment matters. Her extensive experience will be put to good use as she represents employers in employment-related disputes and discrimination matters filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Her focus is to advise and advocate for businesses on employment discrimination matters, as well as on policies, employment law compliance, and employment-related agreements. We are excited to welcome her to the Gardner Skelton team.

Making a Difference

Giving back to those in need in Charlotte is important to Jennifer. As a result of that passion, she founded and is the Director of the Charlotte Chapter of 100 Women Who Care, a Giving Circle affiliated with the 100 Who Care Alliance. All Charlotte-area women are welcome to join this amazing group of kindhearted women!

Jennier grew up in Ohio and married her college sweetheart. They relocated to Charlotte in 2015. She loves her adopted home in the Carolinas but will always root for Ohio State! (Go Bucks!). She and her husband of 27 years have raised two incredible, independent daughters. Her oldest lives in New York City and works in theater production. Her youngest lives in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte and works as an editor for a digital marketing firm. Jennifer is an avid traveler who tries to take a “bucket list” trip every year. Still not empty nesters – Jennifer’s home is full of furry kiddos, 2 dogs and 2 cats!
