Cendy Schutt joins Gardner Skelton as a Legal Assistant, where she plays a key role in supporting the firm’s attorneys and keeping client matters moving forward. She was drawn to the legal profession by a desire to help others and the challenge of working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. She briefly considered a career in medicine but decided the sight of blood was a deal-breaker, so law became the obvious choice. With a background in both philosophy and paralegal studies, Cendy approaches her work with thoughtfulness, precision, and a naturally positive outlook that makes her a valued member of the team.

More about Cendy
Proud of her Haitian heritage and fluent in Creole, Cendy enjoys exploring new cultures and experiences. She once spent a year in China teaching English—a life-changing adventure that coincided with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic—and later made the move to Charlotte. Outside the office, she can be found at the gym, enjoying brunch, dancing in almost any style, swimming, painting, or spending time with family and friends. She is also a devoted aunt, big sister, and a dedicated movie and TV fan, always ready with a new recommendation.
