Community Service

We dedicate time and resources to help others and make our community a better place to live and work.
It's our responsibility as lawyers, individuals, and citizens to give back when and where we can. While our firm supports many churches, schools, and nonprofits, a few stand out. Below are just a few of the organizations where a team member has a personal connection, where we’re proudly supporting our clients’ efforts, or where the unique story or mission of the organization particularly resonates with our firm.

Ronald McDonald House

One of our team members started volunteering with Ronald McDonald House (RMH) more than a decade ago. His passion for the cause spread to the whole firm, and now everyone's involved.

When Nicole and Jared’s youngest child had a medical emergency and needed an extended stay at a rehabilitation center in Baltimore, the Gardners stayed at the nearby RMH. “It’s not just a place to stay,” says Nicole. “At one of the toughest moments in our lives, the staff and volunteers at RMH wrapped us in their care and created an environment for healing.”

Monarch Golf Tournament

A client for almost two decades, we’ve cheered as Monarch expanded over that time to serve tens of thousands of the most vulnerable North Carolinians every year. It’s our distinct honor to give back to an agency so fiercely dedicated to its mission of “helping dreams take flight.”

Brave Step

Brave Step helps adult survivors recover from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. We support this organization, and its incredible founder, Crystal Emerick, who took her own “brave step” when she left the for-profit world to focus on this great work.

Hope Haven

Founded in 1977, Hope Haven opened its doors, serving women seeking help in the recovery process. As a result of providing that firm foundation, Hope Haven now operates as a licensed Therapeutic Community for the treatment of substance disorder. We are passionate about their mission and our support of Hope Haven, as board members, fundraisers, and community activists. We applaud their residents who are working to rebuild their lives, preparing for healthy independent living.
