His background in commercial litigation and related transactional work allows him to provide his clients a different and effective approach for handling matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, state Departments of Revenue, and city/county tax assessors.

  • Representing individuals and businesses before the United States Tax Court, North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings, and other applicable state and federal courts
  • Defending tax audits conducted by the Internal Revenue Service and North Carolina Department of Revenue
  • Prosecuting appeals from state and federal tax assessments
  • Defending sales and use tax claims by the state Departments of Revenue
  • Defending trust fund payroll tax and recovery penalty assessments
