Tyler represents clients in state and federal courts, including the North Carolina Business Court, and in arbitration proceedings, mediations, and administrative hearings before the EEOC and the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Tyler advises businesses on employment-related matters and has litigated disputes involving non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, unfair competition, breach of contract, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, negligent hiring and retention, and wage and hour violations. Tyler prepares employment contracts, severance agreements, and non-competition and confidentiality agreements.
He also advises healthcare providers on state and federal law matters, such as HIPAA, substance abuse regulations, and subpoena compliance.

Making a Difference
While you may not want to go head-to-head with Tyler in the courtroom, his caring nature for others shines through with his dedication to organizations that mean a lot to him.
Since he was in elementary school, Tyler has volunteered with Special Olympics. Tyler's brother, Blake, has Down syndrome. Blake is one of the fastest disabled swimmers in the state of Illinois, and he was a medalist at the Special Olympic World Winter Games in Anchorage, Alaska. Tyler has witnessed firsthand the opportunities that Special Olympics provides to people who have disabilities.
Tyler is also a former board member of Playing for Others, a non-profit leadership training program that combines personal development, service, and the arts.

You'll rarely find Tyler in the office without his loyal Golden Retriever, Blue. Blue has his own snack drawer and is known to steal a milk bone or two from Tyler’s fellow teammates!
Tyler is an avid Chicago sports and Michigan Wolverines fan. He is a former member of the Michigan Marching Band and the Michigan Hockey Band.
