Ryan Downes

Ryan Downes is a recent graduate, with honors, of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in law and justice. Previously, Ryan worked as a summer intern for Compass Group USA, Inc., here in Charlotte, and The Benevolent Society in Sydney, Australia. Gardner Skelton is excited to have Ryan supporting our attorneys before he starts law school in the fall of 2025.

More about Ryan

While at Auburn University, Ryan argued a mock supreme court case, Groff v. Dejoy, in his Constitutional Law class. He was counsel for Dejoy and prepared the case with two of his classmates. The mock court ruled on their side 5-4. One of three children, Ryan shares the spotlight with his two siblings, Jack and Sydney. Sydney is an officer in the Army and Jack is a senior at the University of Georgia. In his free time, Ryan enjoys reading historical fiction, surfing, skiing, golfing and hiking.
