Mitchell Carter

Prior to joining Gardner Skelton in 2010, Mitchell served as a Human Resources professional for over 25 years in the utility, financial, newspaper and retail industries. During his last 12 years in HR, Mitchell’s role as HR Generalist afforded him the opportunity to work closely with corporate leaders to achieve both HR and business goals. Mitchell’s unique HR background complements his paralegal role at Gardner Skelton and allows him to provide a variety of services to clients, including harassment and management training, and representation of clients in unemployment appeals hearings.

More about Mitchell

Mitchell served as an officer in the Army and National Guard. He started his professional career with Sears and moved several times with them before settling on the west coast of Florida. Mitchell transitioned to Florida Power Corporation and then to the St. Petersburg Times. In 2005, he moved to Charlotte, where he joined Citigroup and assumed a new and important role in his life: grandfather.

Mitchell is now semi-retired but has graciously agreed to continue working on various special projects for the firm and its clients.
